Found this on the way to Austin. Stopped to take a picture and talk to the owner but it appears that a meeting wasn't meant to be. I can just imagine pulling up to a gas station like this one with the Studebaker Truck. Now if we can only figure out how the pump works!

The glass top was your measuring/dispensing device AKA meter.
The attendent (yeah you know, the guy who pumped your gas, checked your oil, aired your tires etc. You told him how much gas you wanted. he pumped it in the glass globe which was marked and when it reached that amount then he opened the nozzle and let it flow into your tank.
The center one of course is and early replacement model for the glass globe ones.
Cool pic. Your bud Lucky has a couple of these in his garage i believe.
Last time i seen this station it had a ton of stuff around it. And i had no camera.
Sure hope yur being in Houston don't stop you from going by and picking up my Champ pickup. It will fit on a tow dolly.
